“Pop Its” are all the rage right now and I was so excited to find this fun pop-it game on Amazon. There are so many things you could do with this. I introduced it to my students last week and there hasn’t been a day since, that they haven’t asked to play the ‘pop it game.’

This game is set up with two sides and I have my students sit across from each other to play. Each row on the game has 10 spots to ‘pop’ which makes this an amazing way to practice lots of math concepts! Here are some ways you could use this game board to work on math skills in the classroom.
- Have students take turns rolling dice or drawing number cards. Have them count aloud as they pop each space.
- Have students practice making tens. Since each row has ten spots, students can roll the dice or draw a number card once and then keep rolling/drawing until they can make a ten.
- Have students read addition sentences to ten, and use the board to help them count out the answer.
- Have students compare rows to see who has popped more, less, or the same number of spaces.

My students love rolling the dice and taking turns popping spots on their side of the board. The first person to ‘pop’ their entire board WINS!
